Grandparents visit!
Now, that may not be a reason for celebration in your house, but for this military family who lives many miles from our family, we celebrate when people come to visit! Especially Grandparents. So, we took off a week of school and had some fun! Let me show you!
We visited the local Children's Museum-
We went antique shopping!
We picked pumpkins and raspberries-
We had treats at little local stomping grounds-
We went to a football game!
We went to a local Botanical Gardens-
We roasted marshmallows and had s'mores-
And we relaxed! Well, some!
It was a busy week, but a lovely one.
And now...back to our regularly scheduled program...and school!
What about you, friends? What did you do last week?
Blessings,
Aren't grandparents great!! We are blessed to be near grandparents, and I am so very thankful! Glad you got to enjoy the visit~and I agree that this is one of the best perks of homeschooling!

Looks like a great visit! Lots of fun and I love the picture of him sitting on the pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had an amazing vacation. I think it's one of the best perks of homeschooling. I want to plan a vacation hopefully soon to the UP with the kids before the snow flies and all the leaves have fallen.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely. I'd like a mini-vacation too!
ReplyDeleteI love the scheduling freedom that homeschooling provides. We recently took day trips to visit the grandparents. I must know if you bought 'em by the bag at Nick's? Were they yummy burgers?
ReplyDeleteHa! We did not, but apparently that is what all the college kids do! When you go up to the counter they ask how many you want...they a kind of like slider size. Best thing...I had a coke float! The first I have had in years. Just one more thing to love about this little town!
DeleteWhen grandparents visit is a GREAT time to get out and visit all the neat, local activities. Looks like you had a good time making memories!
